National
Western Stock Show committees approved judges and Simmental's
request for a pen of 5 percentage bull division added to the 2011
Denver events. The addition was based on exhibitor requests and will
debut during the "national" show. Colorado Simmental Association is
pleased to host the national events and to announce its outstanding
judge lineup - Donnell Brown of TX, pen show judge; Shane Bedwell of
CO, junior show judge; and Joel Judge of CA, open class judge.
The Simmental schedule is:
Friday, Jan. 14
ASA board meetings under way.
9 a.m. - Pen cattle processing in the yards.
Saturday, Jan. 15
ASA board meetings under way.
3 p.m. - ASA annual meeting at the DoubleTree.
Sunday, Jan. 16
8 a.m. - Bull pen show in the Stockyards arena in the yards, plus
People's Choice Power Bull judging.
3 p.m. - Open class & junior cattle processing on the hill.
6:30 p.m. - ASA Chairman's reception at the Double Tree
7:15 p.m. - Foundation auction at the Double Tree
Monday, Jan. 17
8 a.m. - People's Choice Power Bull finalists announced; Female pen
show in the yards.
4 p.m. - The One sale in the yard's Livestock Center Auction Arena.
Tuesday, Jan. 18
8 a.m. - Junior show in the Stadium Arena on the hill.
Immediately following - Open class bull show.
6:30 p.m. - Wild, Wild West sale at Brighton.
Wednesday, Jan. 19
8 a.m. - Open class female show on the hill.
